Our year 9 student librarians took on the challenge to organise a Free Book for Every Year 7 project.  They visited all form groups to go through what books were on offer & took a request from each student.   All form groups were then invited to a special library form time session to receive the books.  The whole process took a few weeks from start to finish. Student librarians enjoyed this project, even when some challenges arose, they did a great job.  We do hope all year 7 students have enjoyed reading the books.

BookBuzz is a reading programme from BookTrust that aims to help schools inspire a love of reading. Year 7 students were given the opportunity to choose their own book to take home and keep from a list of 17 titles.  All books are carefully selected by a panel of experts to ensure quality, suitability and to encourage reading for pleasure.
