Dear Families and Students,

First and foremost, we want to express our heartfelt thanks for your continued patience and understanding during this time of transition. As we eagerly anticipate moving into our brand-new building at the end of this week, we wanted to share some important arrangements with you.

On Friday, 13th September, and Monday, 16th September, there will be INSET days for staff. This means that students will not be in school on these days. Our dedicated staff will be using this time to familiarise themselves with the new building and ensure everything is ready to warmly welcome our students on Tuesday, 17th September.

Given the exciting move, we will be following the severe delay plan for a staggered return of year groups. Please see the schedule below:

Staggered Returns: When students come on site P2, P3 or P4, they will be welcomed and directed straight to the hall, before going to lessons.

Entry Arrangements: From Tuesday, 17th September, students in Years 7–11 should use the front entrance on Church Lane, while predominantly sixth formers will use the back entrance on Handsworth Wood Road.  Please note that anyone who uses the back entrance will have a longer walk to the new building, therefore may impact punctuality, if they choose to use the back entrance.

Free School Meals and Support: As always, students eligible for free school meals can collect lunch from reception between 12:00 and 12:30 while learning remotely. We will also continue to support our SEND and vulnerable students from various year groups onsite.

The light at the end of the tunnel is now in sight, and we couldn’t be more excited to begin this new chapter together. Thank you once again for your unwavering support and understanding during this exciting yet challenging time.

Warm regards,

Miss Kiran Takhar
