Seventeen Girls in year 13 Studying for the BTEC Level 3 in Health and Social Care participated in the Midland Heart Project
The project aim was to improve knowledge and understanding of the Care and Support services Midland Heart provides and the essential skills needed within this area; developing the skill sets for the care staff of the future.
The Project was set up by the CBI via Jackie Plimmer and included a number of visits to various Social Care settings for seventeen of our BTEC L3 Health and Social Care students who had to produce a presentation for senior staff at Midland Heart Headquarters in Birmingham.
The presentation explains what they did, what they learned and the outcome of the visits and the project.
An additional and successful visit by 2 of the girls (Tina Mahay and Shabnum Mushtaq ) took place on 9th July 2013 at The Botanical Gardens, Birmingham where the presentation was explained to the CBI.
