We provide resources to help support transition from KS4 to KS5. These are aimed at preparing students for the requirements of Sixth Form, in terms of attitude to work and expectations. In order to address this we have Study Skills and Subject transition tasks. With Study Skills Tasks, the aim is to develop independent study skills to meet the demands and standards expected of a Sixth Form student. For the Subject Tasks, the aim is to give students a “head start”, before starting the course in terms of specific subject knowledge required. All tasks are accessed via our website.
Internal students will also be set online transition tasks using the GCSEPod platform that we subscribe to. Please log in to GCSEPod and check out what is assigned for the different subjects you are planning to take in September.
These documents are provided for use by King Edward VI Handsworth Wood Girls’ Academy’s Sixth Form students on enrolment to assist them in transitioning into Sixth Form Study.
